Willard L. Metcalf Award for a young artist of great promise. 

In 1986, the Academy received a bequest from Addison M. Metcalf, son of the late member Willard L. Metcalf (1858 - 1925), for an award to honor young artists of great promise. The Willard L. Metcalf Award in Art is a biennial prize of $10,000, and will be presented to Aleah on May 18th at the Academy's annual ceremonial. All winners of the institution's 2016 awards will showcase their work in a special exhibition May 18th - June 12th at the Academy.
